ADVANCED DYNAMICS ANNOUNCES MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH FOR THE PRINT INDUSTRY
Leaders in labelling technology, Advanced Dynamics Limited, has announced a major breakthrough in labelling equipment that secures pin numbers for companies printing large volumes of scratch codes.
After months of research and development work, Bradford-based Advanced Dynamics has launched a Roll-fed Stock Handling and Labelling machine to apply protective labels to customer letters containing pin numbers. The labels are applied to the basic letterhead stock prior to printing the number, giving a very secure and tamper evident pin delivery.
The machine is the first to offer a single source roll-handling and labelling solution. Using the latest programmable servo drives it reaches speeds of 150m/minute with placement accuracy of +/- 0.5mm. This output speed reduces current production times by seven fold and provides a production output of 1,000 labels per minute. With its high speed and close accuracy, it is expected to reduce printing costs significantly.
Advanced Dynamics’ director Malcolm Little hails the company’s system as a major step forward: “The demand for reel-to-reel labelling systems has increased markedly with the coming of chip and pin. Yet we believe we are the only company capable of providing a complete solution.’’
Made for large volume printing, the roll handling system is capable of rolls up to 1.25m in diameter, with a web width up to 500mm. It has a heavy-duty pneumatic system to simplify loading and the operator interface is an eye level touch screen for ease of operation.

Other special features of the roll handling equipment include a programmable position auto-stop system, missing label detector, electronic web-tracking, and pneumatic roll-lifters.
The labelling applicator operates from a single, gantry mounted control box and has is capable of storing set parameters on a special programme. It detects low reels, web breaks and label out, and alerts the operator using both visual and audio alarms.
“Advanced Dynamics is the only company that engineers and supplies an all-in-one bespoke roll-handling and labelling machine, and with such significant to saving to be made, expect it will transform the printing and packaging industries.” Mr Little commented.
As well as providing a bespoke design & manufacture service, Advanced Dynamics is a proud partner with some of the finest machinery manufacturers in Europe, including Eurokett, Tesab, Simco and KöRa-Packmat. ENDS Page two of three
