ADVANCED DYNAMICS DISPENSES NEW LABELLER INTO UK BAKERY SECTOR
The leading provider of feeding, labelling and wrapping solutions, Advanced Dynamics Limited, has recently introduced into the UK bakery sector a uniquely designed label applicator that is ideal for flow wrapped and vacuum packed bakery items.
The Eurokett VEGA is equipped with stepper motor drive to provide a much higher level of control during the labelling process. It gives a +/-0.8mm position accuracy and when supplied with the encoder-based speed tracking system, the dispenser maintains extremely accurate label placement even when the speed is varied during the application process.
Existing customers of Advanced Dynamics Ltd include Allied Bakeries, Warburtons, Fletchers and Speedy Bake. Typical applications include sponge cakes, pastry rolls, bread sticks, loaves and muffins, in fact any bakery item that needs a label.
In addition, the VEGA has integrated programmable controls that are built into the systems back plate. No extra space is required to accommodate a traditional control box. The operator interface for the controls can be rotated to ensure the correct orientation for vision no matter where the dispenser is sited. The compact design follows increased demand for smaller, easy-to-use dispensers.
Eurokett VEGA can handle labels measuring 10mm width (minimum) to 110mm width (maximum). It operates at speeds of up to 30 metres of label roll per minute, or up to 150 labels per minute. Page one of three

Managing director of Advanced Dynamics Limited, Malcolm Little, explains why the new dispenser has been introduced into the UK market: “We have found an increased market demand for smaller dispensers. A stepper motor has been integrated into the machine’s design to provide a compact system that is very easy to operate and gives a high degree of label control.”
In addition to the benefits of an integrated motor, the dispenser is very simple to install. It’s ‘plug and play’ design means users only need a connecting pipe with a diameter of 50mm and an electric socket to get the system up and running.
Mr Little explained why a ‘plug and play’ option has been developed: “A modern machine cannot rely on great performance alone, it has to be user-friendly to meet high flexibility expectations. The ‘plug and play’ option offers simplicity and allows operators to handle the machine with the minimum of instruction. The electronic display on the stepper motor is also very simplistic and easy to understand.”
Eurokett have incorporated over 25 years of manufacturing experience into the VEGA. Its knowledge of dispensers has ensured enhanced performance using more economical materials.
