ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY TO FEED UK ADVERTISING NEEDS Fulfilment companies, manufacturers of case erectors and companies needing to dispense advertising material or giveaways into cartons are all set to benefit from the latest KöRa-Packmat feeder system to be introduced into the UK. The decision by Advanced Dynamics Limited - one of the UK's leading providers of feeding, labelling and wrapping machinery and exclusive UK supplier of KöRa-Packmat machinery - to offer the machine in the UK follows installation success in Germany. Available from next month the system comprises a KöRa-Packmat universal friction feeder equipped with a special magazine tray as well as a start/stop unit with two pneumatic cylinders. This is used to fix the empty cartons and assures aimed feeding of advertising material. Advertising brochures are dispensed, by the feeder at a rate of up to 77 cycles per minute, into cartons which can be erected at speeds of up to 40 cycles per minute. Flexibility is one of the benefits of the new system which can be used for all kinds of advertising materials and samples, including feeding brochures up to 30mm thick. One of the recent successes in Germany involves a large global manufacturer and distributor of household cleaning products, which has recently purchased the feeder system to solve its advertising dispensing problems. Speed clinched the deal between the German company and KöRa-Packmat with the new machine replacing existing feeders, which could not cope with the required speed of 75 cycles per minute as well as the variety of products which needed to be dispensed. The unit was assembled on a moveable and height adjustable floor stand, giving flexibility to mount the machine to several different production lines. Integration of the new machinery to existing production lines was also an important factor, as was a speedy turn around. The German giant was impressed by KöRa-Packmat's ability to move the project from its design and development stages through to installation in just six weeks. Machine start up of the unit was completed within two days.
