STACK AS YOU GO WITH ADVANCED DYNAMICS

A leading supplier of feeding, wrapping, labelling and bagging solutions is now offering a fully integrated feeding machine, the PPV vacuum feeder, to UK industries. The feeder is ideal for picking and placing previously impossible to feed products such as medical dressings, tissues, sachets, CDs and other irregular shaped products, because of the horizontal orientation of the products.

Advanced Dynamics Limited has been distributing the KöRa-Packmat range for over 25 years and this newest addition is a pick and place vacuum feeder for damage-free feeding and positioning, which automates the feeding process and therefore achieves greater overall production and reduced operation costs.

Promotion of the PPV vacuum feeder follows the successful installation of the model at the premises of a primary manufacturer of airline tissue packs.

KöRa-Packmat's PPV vacuum feeder is ideal for the continuous feeding of flat, flexible or uneven products thanks to the ability to stack and pick products horizontally during the automatic operation. Its easy change over and stack filling is done through a high-tech non-stop cassette change mechanism, ensuring very impressive and efficient change over times.

With a compact and robust design the equipment's stacking height is a staggering 700mm and depending on the product size and shape can handle up to 60 items per minute.

Other features of the PPV vacuum feeder include its ease of use and ability to operate as stand alone or placed onto a production line for products to feed onto a packing system with high precision. The suction is generated by an integrated vacuum pump.

Its self-sufficient unit incorporates a wear-resistant automatic drive and microprocessor controls, with PLC interface to external control.  This includes technology for identifying if a product is missing, if there is a fault and the recording of levels of product in the stack.

Advanced Dynamics' joint managing director, Mike Essler says: "Since the initial launch of the PPV vacuum feeder the reaction from our customers has been exceptional. We are keen to expand into different industry sectors because we are confident that the performance and extensive range of our equipment will meet the high standards set by all manufacturers, for durability, accuracy and performance."
