Buying a Bottle Filling Machine – all you need to know
Whether you’re in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemicals, cosmetics, or e-liquid business, an automatic bottle filling machine can speed up the bottling process of any low to medium-viscosity product from 5ml to 5000ml.
So, what are the options for our bottle filling machines, and what do you need to know before you buy?
What type of bottle do you want to fill?
We can fill a bottle with volumes from 5ml to 5 litres. The bottles used can be plastic or glass and can even include small bottles, that require pinpoint accuracy of volume. Our bottle filling machines also can work in tandem with bottle capping and labelling machines.
Bottles we can’t fill
We cannot fill cans, pouches, or sachets. The type of volumetric filling machines that we use don’t cater to these types of products.
What liquid do you want to fill?
Any liquid with a low to medium viscosity will work in our machines – such as ones that are like water, or thick, creamy, or foamy. If your liquid will free pour out of a container, then we can fill it for you.
If in doubt, ask us and we can help you decide which machine may be best for you. Consultation is free and can save you trying to figure things out on your own – that’s what we’re here for.
Liquids we can’t fill
Anything carbonated cannot be used in our machines. The liquid must also contain no suspended particles. For example, orange juice is fine, but orange juice with bits would not work.
Also, anything flammable or corrosive will need to use a more specialist machine. This is why our consultation service is so important, we can help you define if our machines are suitable for your product and give you advice.
What type of bottle filling machines would you like?
Machines range from:
- Manual liquid filling machines which require no electricity or power source
- Semi-automatic liquid filling machines that are faster than manual filling and ideal for small to medium scale production lines
- Automatic liquid filling machines that are designed to minimise manual labour, and large-scale production
- Rotary filling machines that are ideal for specialist production
- Piston filling machine, designed to measure and dispense a range of free-flowing liquids, that is pushed into the contain by a piston
- Inline liquid filling machines which provide a cost-effective way to fill products in a straight line.
Part of our service is to work with you to understand your requirements and find the best solution for your needs. This service sets us apart from other filling machine companies and is the best way to solve your production issues efficiently.
What servicing options do you need?
Servicing your bottle filling machine is essential in order to keep it running and resolve issues before they lead to a stoppage in production. Servicing your kit is sometimes a legal requirement, and some companies may need a certificate of conformity for some liquids.
Each machine comes with a 12-month warranty. We can also offer bespoke service contracts based on type of machine, working environment, shift patterns and production intensity.
Because we want to keep your machine in good working order, we also offer an extended warranty option. This covers parts, labour and service visits each year – the number of visits dependant on how much you use your machine.
What other options should I consider?
As a packaging equipment specialist we are also able to supply combined filling and capping machines and bottle labelling machines – taking care of your production line needs. Additionally, we don’t just supply the machines – we work out how they fit together to form your full production line.
